CSIS Direct Certification Training — 10 am to Noon

Course Description: This session will prepare local education agency staff to participate in the Direct Certification process through the California School Information Services (CSIS). Direct Certification is a process through which a student does not need to apply for National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program eligibility, but instead is directly certified through an automated matching process. Audience: CSIS Coordinators, Food Service Managers


CSIS Best Practices Cohort/CALPADS Training — 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Course Description: This session will address what local education agencies (LEAs) can do to prepare for the California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS), including participating in the CSIS Best Practices Cohort Project, a project that provides funding to help improve local data management practices. Information on the status of CALPADS development and data submission requirements will be shared. Audience: CSIS Coordinators, Anyone interested in learning more about the Best Practices Project and CALPADS
