DV Voice Teacher of the Year Announced
CTAP Region 11 Los Angeles County
DV Voice Teachers of the Year
After reviewing the project submissions from DV Voice teachers, and evaluating each teacher's contributions to the effective implementation of the DV Voice project, Instructional Technology Outreach recognized the DV Voice Teachers of the Year. These teachers consistently showed their professionalism and dedication to the project, bringing digital tools and content to their students while providing exemplary instruction at their schools and in their classrooms. Their students created standards-based, curricular projects using digital photography, podcasting, and video production.

Students in Mr. Eckert's 4th Grade class studied the characteristics of fables, and were challenged to write one of their own. The award-winning project shows how video production can be used to create digital stories from students' original writing.
JoAnn McKenna, Mulholland Middle School, Los Angeles Unified School District

History comes to life as students portray the contributions of women during the Civil War and the life of Martin Luther with images, video reenactments, and narrative. They also illustrate the power of project-based and collaborative learning.
