Tech Use PlanningTechnology plans help focus development of technology use in a district or charter. State approved technology plans are a requirement for many state and federal grants as well as E-rate.
Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT)The California Department of Education (CDE), Education Technology Office oversees the EETT Competitive and Formula Grant Program under Title ll, Part D, of the No Child Left Behind Act. Funds from this grant are used to assist eligible districts to utilize technology to enhance teaching and promote learning.

E-rateE-rate is a federal program of the Federal Communications Commission administered by the Schools and Libraries Division of the Universal Service Administrative Company that provides eligible K-12 public schools and libraries 20% to 90% discounts on approved telecommunications, Internet access, and internal connections costs".
Ed Tech K-12 Voucher ProgramFunding for this program resulted from a Settlement Agreement between California consumers and a large technology corporation. The vouchers made available through this Settlement Agreement are to be used to assist districts with implementing and supporting education technology that fosters effective teaching and promotes student achievement in eligible schools that serve students in grades kindergarten through twelfth grade. |
