Tech Plans help focus development of technology use in a district or charter. State-approved tech plans are required for funding through EETT Formula Grants, and the Ed Tech K-12 Voucher Program. State-approved plans for EETT can also be used for E-Rate which is county-level approved. However, E-Rate plans must be written before the E-Rate form 470 is filed.
To be eligible for EETT Formula funding, tech plans must be submitted electronically, including Appendix C and J, in one Word document by the cycle deadlines listed below, to harbison_marylou@lacoe.edu and parga_michele@lacoe.edu
Submission Cycle Deadlines
For plans expiring June 30, 2010:
Cycle A - October 9, 2009
Cycle B - December 4, 2009
Cycle C - April 9, 2010 (non-E-rate districts only)
All three cycles will lead to a state-approved technology plan. However, if your district or direct-funded charter school intends to use the state-approved technology plan as an E-Rate plan, the plan needs to be submitted in Cycle A, or Cycle B.
