California Technology Assistance Project (CTAP) Region 11
One of the goals of CTAP is to provide professional development and learning resources related to using technology as a tool to improve teaching and learning. Supporting this goal, the CTAP Region 11 Web site is where you will find information on projects, resources, and grants available to Los Angeles County educators.

Multimedia Services
Multimedia Services provides its membership with easily accessible, affordable, high-quality visual resource tools to assist student learning. All media has been previewed and evaluated by educators, is legally compliant, and is in support of the California content standards.


CTAP 11 Online
CTAP 11 Online provides web-based professional development devoted to helping teachers understand and apply technology in their classrooms. Online tools such as the Lesson Plan Builder, Standards Database, and Webliography make it an effective way to create and share standards-based classroom resources with other teachers.

The California Learning Resource Network (CLRN)
The purpose of the California Learning Resource Network is to provide one location for California standards aligned supplemental electronic learning resource information. Part of the site is commercial to help educators use their limited funds to make informed decisions about purchasing electronic learning resources for the classroom. The other half of the site is primary, secondary and reference resources that are free of advertising and appropriate for teachers and/or students.


Thinkfinity
The Thinkfinity Web site provides high quality, standards-based Internet content to K-12 teachers and students. A teacher can search for lessons, student activities, reviewed Web sites, and other resources for the grade level and subject area they teach.

Technology for Textbook Adoptions
This site, developed by CTAP Region 3, provides ideas for technology integration that are matched with the themes or content areas of Reading/Language Arts adoptions including Open Court, Houghton Mifflin, Holt, Language!, and High Point.

Blue Web'n
An online library of 1952 Internet sites categorized by subject, grade level, and format (tools, references, lessons, hotlists, resources, tutorials, activities, projects).


Kathy Schrock's Guide For Educators
This site has a categorized list of sites useful for enhancing curriculum and professional growth. It is updated often to include the best sites for teaching and learning.

4teachers.org
This site helps teachers integrate technology into their classroom by offering free online tools and resources. This site helps teachers locate and create ready-to-use Web lessons, quizzes, rubrics, and classroom calendars. There are also tools for student use. Below are two examples of the web-based tools for teachers:

Rubistar
A tool that helps teachers who want to use rubrics but do not have the time to develop them from scratch. Start with a Template and customize it to your curricular focus.

Quizstar
A web-based utility that allows teachers to create a custom quiz that students can take online.


Printable Worksheet Links from Kid's Domain
This Web site contains great resources for teachers from all over the web. The links to printable worksheets have been checked for appropriate content.

Teachers.net Lesson Bank
A site that shares lessons from teacher to teacher. You can search for a lesson or submit one to share with other teachers.

This site offers teachers FREE access to 27,000+ lesson plans, 6,350+ printable worksheets, rubrics, educational games, teaching tips, advice from expert teachers, current education news, teacher downloads, web quests, 256,000+ reviewed web sites and teacher tools for creating exciting classroom instruction.

Bernie Dodge's WebQuest PageQ
Teachers can search this site for webquests that have been reviewed and evaluated for their quality. Organized by subject and grade level, the webquests are ready to use with students.
